Below is the content of a letter that William sent out in March 2000, for those of you who weren't on the fan mailing list or whose addresses has changed. We have gotten back quite a few letters, since the forwarding time had expired. If you want to remain on the mailing list, you must send a note to fanmail@williamshockley.com containing your current mailing address. EVEN IF YOU RECEIVED A LETTER THIS TIME YOU MUST STILL RESPOND SO THAT WE KNOW YOU WISH TO CONTINUE TO RECEIVE MAILINGS. We will be destroying the old database and creating a new one.

Greetings from Hollywood, California,

Although it doesn't seem possible, nearly two years have passed since we wrapped up "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," and I wanted to say hello to some of you who have sent me letters in the past and to catch you up on what's been going on with me.

Much of my time recently has been spent on writing projects. I co-wrote and starred in a short film entitled, "The War Within," which is in competition at the 2000 Palm Beach Film Festival and at the 2000 Santa Clarita International Film Festival. I've also co-written a television pilot called "Lake Travis," which revolves around the lives of two lifelong Texas friends who become private investigators together. We are currently pitching this script to networks and studios, and Brent Briscoe ("Slingblade," "Man On The Moon") is committed to star in the series with me. In a slightly different vein, I've written a manuscript for a children's book entitled "Dear Sweet Franzblah" for which we are now seeking a publisher.

On the acting front, I have roles in three upcoming feature films. "Joyriders," starring Martin Landau, is now available on videocassette, and "
Suckers," starring Daniel Benzali and Lori Loughlin, will premier on Cinemax March 15. In December, 1999, I finished a movie called "Madison," starring Bruce Dern. "Madison" does not yet have a release date, but we will let you know when it hits the theaters.

For those of you with Internet access, you can find "What's New" each month at my official website, located at williamshockley.com. In the near future we plan to offer cards and t-shirts which feature my artwork as well as other merchandise the we hope you will like.

If you would like to be included in future mailings of this type, which may include photographs, notices of television appearances, film premiers, merchandise, etc. please send your full name and postal address to
fanmail@williamshockley.com. Or you may write us at the address given on the *letterhead. Please PRINT your name and address on all written correspondence so that we can be certain to enter it into our new database correctly.
