NOTE FROM STARCHAT TO AOL USERS:
I'd like to apologize on behalf of StarChat for this inconvenience. We did not ban AOL because we "felt
like it" like some networks. We banned AOL because many users were using it to evade bans and harass other
network
users. Many meetings were held over the banishment of the *.ipt.aol.com domain and we finally came to the conclusion
that it was necessary. However, we did not want to leave a good number of our good users on AOL out
in the cold, so the AOL Management Team was formed to help them get back onto StarChat.
I need very little information to get your access to StarChat setup. I need your IDENT and a password. If you simply
follow the directions below, you'll be well on your way to chatting once more on the StarChat network.
1. Open your IRC client (Program you use to chat i.e. mIRC, pIRCH)
2. Connect your client to irc.sandnet.net
3. Type /whois yournick (Replace the word yournick with the nick you connected with)
4. Copy and paste the results into an e-mail to aol@starchat.net **
5. Make up a password and put it along with your whois information and the name of your IRC client to aol@starchat.net
** In mIRC, simply selecting the text by highlighting copies it

Tammy R. had a great suggestion, if you're in a hurry to get connected--for example, if there is a CHAT
with William in a few hours...try going through a free internet server like netzero or freeinternet. You can go
to these webpages to download what you need: netzero.net or freeinternet.com
